Rules & Regulations


  1. Term. This agreement will commence upon approval of your application a Member (hereafter, "You"/"Your") and shall continue for twelve months thereafter. This agreement shall not be in force until accepted by Charleston Bridal Association, which reserves the right to cancel this agreement without further obligation at any time by rescinding all future obligations under this contract, or for cause if you have failed to perform any material term or condition of this agreement. Members who contribute at least 20 leads a month will receive a free banner ad on our website.

  2. Code of Ethics. You must adhere to the Code of Ethics, which guides the business practices of all Members and helps ensure adherence to the principles upon which the Charleston Bridal Assoc. is based. It is understood that you are familiar with its contents and will uphold each of the Articles and pledges it contains. You acknowledge that Membership may be terminated the Assoc. determine in its sole discretion that you have violated any aspect of the Code. The Assoc.will always seek to address any such matters directly with You in order to have full information before a termination hearing occurs.

  3. Logo. You are permitted to utilize the Charleston Bridal Assoc. logo in your advertising, letterhead, business cards, and signage. Camera-ready artwork of the logo is available free of charge to you; the logo must not be altered in any fashion. The use of the logo must be discontinued immediately upon termination of Membership. All Members are asked to post and link the logo to the Assoc. website at http://www.CharlestonBridalAssociation.com.


  4. Membership Agreements. We welcome all wedding professionals and invite you to join for free! Please complete and send to us, be sure to have the Charleston Bridal Association Logo on your website within 24 hours of sending to us as we will verify before posting your membership to the website. Additional listings and sponsorships (banner ads) will be available, ask for details.


  5. Bridal Leads. Yes, you will even receive FREE BRIDAL LEADS!
    Every member in good standing will receive daily Bridal Leads. Members agree to use these leads only for their own purpose and not to share with others. If failure to abide by this rule, your membership will be cancelled. You are encouraged to send your brides to the website, by doing so, everyone will receive ongoing bridal leads for free, just another reason to be a member of the Charleston Bridal Association.

*Networking parties and events are a great way to meet people in your shared industry, but sometimes those meetings can be awkward and very expensive. The Charleston Bridal Association has relieved both of the negatives in that equation. Not only are membership and meetings free, David Rister has made it pain free as well. Several times during the evening each member is asked to take out a business card and share it with someone you don't know. It so eliminates that awkward moment of walking up to a complete stranger and introducing yourself, because everyone is doing it at the very same time. *The Charleston Bridal Association networking parties are a great way to meet vendors. When I first started my business I met many photographers, bakers, florists and other vendors in one location. It also gave me an opportunity to see new venues, try different catering and cakes, listen to bands, and see rentals set up. As a new business owner it was an extremely efficient and fun way to get to know the many great vendors of the Lowcountry. *I will be "forever grateful" For David Rister and Charleston Bridal Association. I had a meeting with David last year in September 2009 that started in David’s office, and then we took it to the Downtown streets in his golf cart and then to a local restaurant. This meeting lasted over 3 hours, for no other reason but to help me, a new Wedding and Event Vendor in Charleston, because that’s what David & Charleston Bridal Association does and they do it for free!! From that meeting we spoke about the networking parties and how New Dream Catering will benefit from them. I will admit the first thought in my mind was, ok, I am not going let this guy get over on me, what’s the catch! The catch ended up being, New Dream Catering doing the catering for The December 3rd, 2009 Charleston Bridal Associations Holiday Networking Party and from that networking party, I was introduced to many of the great Wedding Planners and Vendors of Charleston. By the time the networking party was done (a few hours) I have received now to date just from that one networking party alone numerous amounts of Weddings, Rehearsal Dinners, All Occasion Events and many Great Friends/Relationships in our field. All the referred vendors New Dream Catering uses or recommends, I have met through David Rister & Charleston Bridal Association Networking Parties. With no hesitation I contribute a great part of our ongoing success to David Rister and Charleston Bridal Association.
